The third memorial conference “Predrag Marić” was held at the premises of the University of Belgrade Rectorate. Together with the University of Belgrade, the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia, and the Faculty of Security Studies of the University of Belgrade – the Institute of International Politics and Economics organized this forum, which brought together a multitude of scholars and practitioners specialized in the fields of security, law, and management.

Recognizing the immense impact that Predrag Marić had on academia, the public sector, and society at large, Prof. Dr. Branislav Đorđević, the director of the Institute, highlighted the necessity of fostering inter-institutional collaboration and the exchange of scientific and professional expertise.

Throughout the conference, participants discussed various aspects of the management of security challenges, risks and threats, such as the use of new technologies and artificial intelligence, protection of critical infrastructure, the involvement of the private sector in crisis management, as well as the issues surounding environmental security and sustainable development.
