Dr. Nenad Stekić, Research Associate at the Institute of International Politics and Economics, spoke on the topic of „Whose Security? Illegitimate breakdown of the Afghan’s peace“. Nenad examined the security situation in Afghanistan, which arose as a result of the withdrawal of the US armed forces and other Coalition members, by offering arguments in support of the US’s faulty legitimacy and contacts with the Taliban and other ethno-religious leaders. Dr. Stekić also went throuhg the impact of the Provincial Reconstruction Teams – PRTs – on the post-conflict state building process in Afghanistan.

Apart from the IIPE’s researchers, the lecture was attended by the students of the Winter School of International Relations, which the Institute is currently implementing.
