Institute of International Politics and Economics organised a seminar for undergraduate students of International Relations from the Department of Culture, Religion and Social Studies at the University of South-Eastern Norway. The main purpose of the seminar was to provide a better understanding of the great powers` foreign policies in the Balkans (with the focus on Serbia), the dynamics of unresolved border disputes in the region, as well as the relations between Serbia and the Islamic world (especially with Iran, Turkey and Arab countries) through interactive discussion with local experts. In the first part of seminar, Dr. Vladimir Trapara and Dr. Slobodan Janković – both IIPE`s research fellows, and Dr. Vladimir Ajzenhamer, Lecturer at the Faculty of Security Studies, University of Belgrade, delivered introductory lectures aimed at helping students to build essential knowledge on the complexities of Balkan ethnopolitics. Besides the lecturers, seminar was realised by professors Oddvar Hollup, Brita Merete Gulli, and Stig Bjørshol – all from the University of South-Eastern Norway, and Dr. Srđan Korać, IIPE Deputy Director for Research.
