Milan Veselica, МА, a research assistant at the Institute of International Politics and Economics, participated in the First World Conference on Religious Dialogue and Cooperation, which is being held in Struga, North Macedonia, from October 4 to 8, 2023.
Colleague Veselica participated in the V panel via video link, presenting a paper, “Faith-based Politics?” The World Council of Churches and the Wars in Yugoslavia and Ukraine”. The presentation introduced the position of the World Council of Churches towards the Serbian Orthodox Church during the wars in the former Yugoslavia and the Russian Orthodox Church during the war in Ukraine. Colleague Veselica researched the international-political position of the World Council of Churches in major political crises in which member churches of this organization are involved or targeted.
