Research Fellow at the Institute of International Politics and Economics, Dr. Nenad Stekić, participated in the World Congress “Politics in the age of transboundary crises”, organized by the International Political Science Association – IPSA. Dr. Stekić presented the article “When geopolitics does (not) matter: assessing the features of military interventionism in contemporary international system” within the panel “Neoclassical geopolitics: theory, methodology, case studies”. At the invitation of the organizers of the Congress, Dr. Stekić additionally participated in the panel “Forecasting the Common Foreign and Security Policy of the European Union” as a discussant.

Over 2,000 researchers from more than 80 countries presented their papers at the Congress. The event was held in Buenos Aires (Argentina) between 15th and 19th of July.

The visit to Buenos Aires was an opportunity for Dr. Stekić to pay the visit to the Argentinian Council for Foreign Affairs – CARI, where he met members of the Asia Committee of this prestigious institution.
