IIPE researcher Dr. Miloš Petrović took part in the roundtable “Enlargement of the European Union – New Eastern and Old Balkan Area”, organized by the Institute of European Studies in Belgrade. Dr. Petrović elaborated on the growing approximation and entanglement between the two regions – southeastern Europe, on the one hand, and eastern neighborhood, on the other side. Specific emphasis was placed on the treatment of the two regions in the context of the increasingly unfavorable geopolitical circumstances, which significantly influence the decision-making in EU enlargement policy domain. Aside from Dr. Petrović, other guests included the panelists from the Institute of European Studies, Centre for Foreign Policy and University of Canterbury.
