The head of the Center for Neighboring and the Mediterranean Countries, Dr. Slobodan Janković, participated in the Third Balkan Think Tank Conference held in Ankara, organized by the SETA Foundation. The main topics of the conference were related to the Balkans and current events.

Dr. Janković spoke on the first day of the meeting on the topic “Balkans in a changing world”. He pointed out that the Balkans, unfortunately, are an object of world politics and that the motto ‘Balkans for the Balkan peoples’ is a distant and forgotten goal. He pointed out that occasional crises in the Balkans primarily arise from the needs of foreign actors and in this connection presented the goals of the USA, the EU, China and Russia on the peninsula.

During the meeting, Janković pointed out the positive cooperation between Serbia and Turkey, which was also reported by the Anatolia agency.
