Dr Marko Milanović, full professor at the University of Nottingham, School of Law, held an online lecture within the 6th IIPE’s Session of International Law. The topic of the lecture was “Dissemination of misinformation as a violation of international law”. Special attention was paid to how international public law could respond to the spread of misinformation. Professor Milanović referred to different types of dissemination of misinformation, with an emphasis on the online context of dissemination of misinformation, both by the state and non-state actors, as well as the possible ways to sanction the dissemination of misinformation.
