Dr. Ivona Lađevac, Senior Research Fellow and Deputy Director of the Institute, participated in the prestigious international conference “Primakov Readings”, held in Moscow from 23 to 25 June 2025.
This year’s conference, organized for the eleventh time by the Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO), was dedicated to global turbulence and brought together around 40 experts from 14 countries. In addition to three panel discussions, which were open to the public, six closed strategic sessions dedicated to the most important issues, including the issues of the new world order, tariff wars and energy were held.
The conference participants, in the role of panelists and/or moderators, were also numerous high-ranking officials of the Russian Federation, such as Yuri Ushakov, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation, Konstantin Kosachev, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration – Presidential Press Secretary, as well as Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, who delivered a speech on the second day of the conference.
During her stay in Moscow, Dr. Lađevac discussed with the Director and Deputy Director for Science of the Institute for World Economy and International Relations, Dr. Fyodor Voitolovsky and Dr. Victoria Zhuravleva, future cooperation between the two partner institutions – IIPE and IMEMO. Dr. Lađevac also visited the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and spoke with Vice-Rector Oleg Karpovich and his closest associates.
