Dr Danilo Babić

Research Fellow

Danilo Babić has been working at the Institute of International Politics and Economics since December 2019, since February 2023 as a research fellow. The main areas of his academic research are Sub-Saharan African studies and post-colonial studies, development issues, and international economy. Moreover, Danilo analyses international relations in the Balkans from the postcolonial perspective. Danilo acquired his doctorate at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Belgrade in September 2022. The title of the dissertation was “Strategies for the development of Sub-Saharan Africa: the role of old and new global actors”. He completed his master’s studies at the same faculty. He completed his bachelor’s studies at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Novi Sad. During 2017 and 2018, he participated in the research project of the Belgrade Forum for a world of equals under the auspices of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of the Republic of Serbia. He published dozen scientific papers in domestic publications and was a speaker at the CEEISA-ISA 2019 international conference in Belgrade. He is currently engaged in the international project: COST action CA19129 – Decolonising Development: Research, Teaching, and Practice.
