The Institute of International Politics and Economics (IIPE) announces the launch of the project “Institute Through Time,” aimed at making the Institute’s rich library collection and institutional history – until now available primarily to specialist audiences – accessible to researchers, students, and the wider public interested in the study of International Relations.

The project rests on two integrated tracks that together form a unified narrative of the Institute’s development and its scientific research activities.

  1. Library Collection. The Institute’s library collection comprises publications from various periods and scientific fields. A particularly valuable segment consists of around 200 titles published between 1829 and 1899, in Serbian, German, French, English, and Russian.
  2. Institutional History. Founded on 8 December 1947, the Institute is one of the oldest state research institutes in the field of International Relations in Southeast Europe. This track follows the Institute’s development through key historical moments, social recognitions, and its contemporary research activities.

Implementation of the project has begun with work on the first track – the inventory, identification, and processing of the library collection. Results will be presented through a permanent exhibition at the Institute’s premises, as well as through a digital component accessible via the Institute’s official website and social media.

The Institute will regularly inform the public on the project’s progress.
