The Institute of International Politics and Economics today signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the International Scientific Forum “Danube – River of Cooperation”. The Memorandum was signed by the Institute’s Deputy Director, Prof. Mihajlo Vučić, PhD, and the Forum’s President, Prof. Dobrica Vesić, PhD.
The Memorandum further strengthens the longstanding ties between the two institutions and lays the foundation for new joint research projects, the organization of scientific conferences, and the publication of scholarly works in the fields of sustainable development, regional security, and cooperation in the Danube region.
The Institute is particularly pleased that the continuation of this cooperation will contribute to preserving and further developing the rich academic legacy of the late Edita Stojić Karanović, PhD, Principal Research Fellow and former Acting Director of the Institute (2007-2008), whose scholarly work and professional engagement have left a lasting contribution to the study of international relations and regional cooperation.
