Principal Research Fellow Dr. Sanja Jelisavac Trošić and Research Fellow Dr. Mitko Arnaudov, together with co-author Prof. Dr. Slobodan Pajović, full professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences, took part in the international scientific MINDS 2026 – The 2nd International Scientific Conference on Management, Innovation, Digitalization and Sustainability, held on 29 June 2026 in Belgrade. The theme of the conference was Global Challenges of Energy Transition, Multipolarization and Sustainable Development: Implications for the Balkans and Europe.
The conference was organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences in cooperation with Libera Università Mediterranea (LUM “Giuseppe Degennaro”), Bari, Italy; Mediterranean University, Podgorica, Montenegro; Faculty of Military Science and Officer Training, Ludovika University of Public Service, Budapest, Hungary; Department of European Studies, Poznań University of Economics and Business, Poland; and Faculty of Philosophy and History, University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
At the conference, Dr. Mitko Arnaudov presented the joint paper “Economic and Energy Conditionality of States in Contemporary International Relations – A Case Study of Serbia and Paraguay”. The research was conducted with the aim of gaining analytical insights into the economic and energy conditionality of states in contemporary international relations, based on the experiences of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Paraguay, given that pressure on smaller states has proven to be a frequent instrument used by more powerful states, both directly and indirectly.
