Dr. Jelica Gordanić, Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of International Politics and Economics, participated in the international conference “Open Dialogue – The Future of the World: A New Platform for Global Development.” The conference was held from April 27 to 29, 2026, in Moscow, organized by the National Centre Russia. Dr. Gordanić took part in the panel “Investing in Human Capital,” presenting on the topic “Overcoming the Digital Divide – Steps Toward Equal Opportunities.” She emphasized that the lack of internet access is not only a technological issue but a matter with a profound social dimension. Considering that an increasing number of activities are taking place online, individuals without internet access are unable to exercise some of their fundamental human rights. The “Open Dialogue” brought together 106 participants from 43 countries. The event was opened by Mr. Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian. Participants were also addressed via video message by Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation.
