Junior researchers from the Institute of International Politics and Economics, MA Marina Radovanović and MA Mile Obrenović, participated in the 29th international scientific conference “National Minorities, Migration and Security”, held from 8 to 10 September on the Brijuni Islands (Republic of Croatia).
Marina Radovanović presented her research entitled “The Jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the EU regarding the Interpretation and Application of the Principle of Non-Refoulement” within the panel on legal, socio-anthropological, and public-discursive dimensions of migration. Mile Obrenović delivered a presentation entitled “Militarisation of European NATO Member States: A Step towards the Strengthening or Weakening of NATO? The Case of the Federal Republic of Germany” within the panel on the contemporary Euro-Atlantic security architecture.
The conference was organized by the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Zagreb, in cooperation with the Office for Human Rights and Rights of National Minorities of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, the Institute for Ethnic Studies in Ljubljana, the Academic Network for Cooperation in Southeast Europe, and the Faculty of Security Studies of the University of Belgrade.
