Dr. Nevena Šekarić Stojanović, IIPE’s Research Fellow, participated in the 19th General Conference of the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR). The conference, held at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki from 26 to 29 August 2025, brought together around 3,000 participants from across the globe.

Dr. Šekarić Stojanović took part in the panel “Market Integration Within and Beyond the EU: Challenges Faced by the Wider EU Energy Space”, where she also served as panel discussant. Within this panel, she presented her paper entitled “Small State Energy Policy: The Case of Serbia’s Hedging Energy Strategy”.

ECPR is the leading European academic association that brings together scholars in the field of political science, and its General Conference is one of the most prestigious academic events globally. During the ceremonial part, the participants were addressed by the President of the Consortium, the Mayor of Thessaloniki, and the Rector of Aristotle University, while the keynote lecture was delivered by the Greek Minister of the Interior. Following the ceremonial event, a welcome reception for the conference participants was organized at the City Hall of Thessaloniki.

In addition to a large number of panels, the conference also featured numerous workshops, methodological schools, lectures, round tables, consultations, and networking opportunities for researchers.
