The Institute of International Politics and Economics has marked its patron saint day – Saint Simeon the Myrrh-streaming.

We celebrate the patron saint day of our institute with affection towards the sublime act of our first national leader Stefan Nemanja – Saint Simeon the Myrrh-streaming and with hope that today’s generations, in these difficult times, will follow the measure and pattern of Saint Simeon the Myrrh-streaming as a value guide in the accomplishment of national interests.

Saint Simeon the Myrrh-streming, Stefan Nemanja, was the founder of the Nemanjić dynasty and one of the most important Serb leaders. With his son, Saint Sava, he was one of the founders of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

Dr. Aleksandar Mitić, Research Fellow, was the host of the IIPE’s patron saint day.
