Institute of International Politics and Economics, in cooperation with Institute of Security, Defense and Peace of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje and Institute of European Studies in Belgrade, held in the format of an online conference, a round table with international participation entitled “Serbia and Northern Macedonia: current situation and perspectives”. Special attention has been paid to the political relations between the Republic of Serbia and Northern Macedonia, with an emphasis on Serbian-Macedonian social and cultural ties.

Introductory and welcome speeches were given by Prof.  Branislav Đorđević, director of IIPE, Prof.  Ratko Duev, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Skopje and Ph.D. Miša Đurković, Director of Institute of European Studies. The moderator of the conference was Ph.D. Slobodan Janković, Head of the Center for Neighborhood and Mediterranean (IIPE), while the participants were Prof. Ph.D. Toni Mileski, University of St. Kliment i Metodij, Ph.D. Nenad Vasić, IIPE, Ph.D. Stevan Gajić, IES and Mr. Branka Kostić – Marković, University Sv. Cyril and Methodius. Participants spoke about current situation and perspectives of Serbian-Macedonian relations. Then commentator of the meeting, Ph.D. Marina Kostić (IIPE) gave her final comment, which sparked a lively debate on various aspects of Serbian-Macedonian relations.
